hi there! I'm romy. originally from the netherlands, I traded tulips for skyscrapers five years ago, making chicago my home. by day, I navigate the corporate world with my 9-to-5, but by night (and weekends!), I pour my creativity in event content creation.
my journey into this vibrant world began unexpectedly in february 2022, during my sister-in-law's wedding. as a bridesmaid, amidst the whirlwind of hairspray and happy tears, I found myself instinctively capturing those precious, candid moments – the laughter, the anticipation, the genuine joy. the day after, fueled by the sheer magic of the celebration, I created my first ever reel: a wedding reel. it sparked something in me.
my background in psychology has given me a unique perspective. I'm naturally observant, tuned into the subtle nuances of human interaction. this translates directly into my work, allowing me to understand the energy of an event and the emotions of the people within it. what I truly love about creating reels is the ability to capture those candid, unposed moments – the ones we often miss in the rush of life. it's an honor to capture authentic glimpses of joy and magic and to see the smiles they bring when people relive the moment.
